The Thanksgiving celebrity dating rumor involved Mr. Scientology, Tom Cruise, and a former ‘That 70’s Show’ star Laura Prepon, who is also a member of the church. Admittedly, this was an odd pairing that seemed a little far-fetched so it should come as no surprise that the rumors ended up being false. We always worry whenever we hear Tom Cruise dating rumors because we really would like to keep the church of Scientology’s news headlines to a minimum. However, Prepon is already a dedicated member so nothing we can do here.

According to Grazia, Cruise was on ‘cloud nine’ after allegedly going on a few dates with his fellow church member. Popular blogger Perez Hilton picked up the story and indicated that Cruise and Prepon spent a couple nights together out on the town. She also accompanied him to dinner at John Travolta’s house. It’s weird that all the Scientology people hang out together like Cruise and Travolta. Anyway, the dating rumors have proven to be false, but because of the Scientology connection we wouldn’t be surprised if there was more from this.
